"Cheerleading is now a competitive athletic discipline in at least 75 nations across the world, the sport is still growing faster than ever in Britain, where over 700 clubs are part of the cheerleading community.
Now the sport of Cheerleading in Ireland is being recognised as a legitimate sporting activity and the participation in this sport is also continually expanding at a rapid pace, the Irish Cheer Sport Association recognise that professionalism and safety standards must also be increased in line with this growth.
To ensure the sport of cheerleading continues to grow in a positive manner the ICSA have formed links with the British Cheerleading Association (BCA) to ensure that all participants can involve themselves in the sport in a manner that is not only safe but fun and enjoyable."
